Based on the ancient Greek myth of Perseus and Medusa. Perseus is on a quest to find and kill the monster Medusa, a creature so hideous, that gazing upon her face, mortals are turned to stone. Perseus must seek the knowledge of the Grey Women to find vision and direction to accomplish his task. This interpretation relates the story from the Grey Women's perspective. A perspective governed by the sole eye shared between the three nearly blind women.

This edition of the retelling of the legend was inspired by an affection for mythology and the synchronicity of a series of fragile coincidences: the bombing of the World Trade Center and is subsequent television coverage, a homemade Medusa Halloween costume, and the gift of a glass eye.
