I’Lee Hooker continues to share her passion for flowers and gardening.
From the introduction: "A bouquet of flowers is a favorite gift. The beauty, mystery, and fragrance of flowers wordlessly communicates our complex emotions for any occasion. With joy and gratitude these flowers have been gathered from my garden in Tiburon, CA, and from around our cabin in Tahoe, CA."
If we could see the miracle
Of a single flower clearly,
Our whole life would change.
The book of bouquets is a double-sided accordion construction. One side has the mounted images of flowers; on the back side of each image is a library-style book pocket from which slips a card with Hooker’s anecdotal information about that flower.
This is the Anemone ‘Honorine Jobert’. They are a perennial that appears in my garden mid to late summer. Their common name is windflower and they cheerfully sway in the breeze until winter. They are a rather unruly bunch and would happily take over my garden if I didn’t strictly contain them.
