Plant Deconstructions
Poems by Jeremy Schriber and prints by Louise Kohrman. These five poems were written at the artist's request in response to a group of plants she commonly uses as still lives for her prints. The poet delivered the poems and the artist then responded to the text with etchings. This very attractive 7-inch square book consists of 44 unnumbered pages. The titles and texts are printed in blue and old wood type numbers (found in the drawers of the Rhode Island School of Design print shop) are printed in green. German etching paper and Sekishu rice papers have been printed on both sides with water based silkscreen imagery. Bound in boards with rice paper wrap around. Edition of 10. 2002.
