Colophon: “The black and white images were created by digitally manipulating photographs taken in November 2006 at Auschwitz. They are printed on pages taken from a found 1909 German/English dictionary. There pages are juxtaposed with colored images inkjet printed on rusted silk gauze. These were adapted from a 1923 German children’s book called Puppchens Himmelische Reise (The Doll’s Trip to Heaven), a book which gave me nightmares for 20 years.”
