Snake
Written, designed, and printed by Maria Pisano. The crispness of haiku conveys the momentary impressions one leaves behind in daily encounters and travels. Wherever we go or whomever we met, we leave a mark, a tangible moment. The book uses handmade paper with a watermark especially designed for it. Using finely beaten abaca fiber and coloring the pulp to a light tint, the sheets were pulled and then cut and assembled. A concertina structure with central supports carries the motif and the movement of the book. Poem printed in Cheltenham Open Face. Enclosed in a wrapper. Edition of 25 (2.75 x 2.25 inches).
