A curiously confounding and thought provoking book, complete with bridge and Troll, but in this retelling, Troll is more mad scientist than mere ogre. The bridge crosses over his laboratory from where he threatens to crossbreed Lily with a silk-producing spider for the purpose, ultimately, of harvesting an ultra-strong, lightweight, biodegradable fabric through conventional dairy processing methods. Moral: Sometimes the human imagination defies all reason and breaks all bounds. A chilling little sci-fi fable from the land of Dolly the Sheep. Simple typographic changes indicate voice and provide a subtle prompt that is illustrative of character.
