Features nineteen poems, with four drawings by Cassian. Nina Cassian is a poet of sensual, unflinching, and visionary statements on the human condition. She was a journalist and film critic, and translator. Exiled from Romania in 1985, she now lives in New York City. Although Ms Cassian has had fifty books published since the 1940s, this marks the first time a book of her poems has appeared in a hand-crafted, limited edition.

The text is comprised of seventeen prose poems. Each is a surreal narrative of exactly 100 words. Mr Brouwer, winner of a 2001 Whiting Prize, teaches in the MFA Creative Writing Program at The University of Alabama. The text is accompanied by seventeen drawings by Paul Moxon.
