Artist Statement: "Jaye Fishel is a printmaker and book artist working in the Bay Area of California. Working in the rare books library during college, Jaye discovered and became enamored with book arts. Previously interested in filmmaking, Jaye found book arts to be a similar but more personally interesting medium and became dedicated to a life in books. ... Jaye is especially interested in books' potential as unassuming subversive agents and as objects of sensual delight."

5 x 6.5" (12.75 x 16.5 cm); 30 pages. Text is letterpress printed from a magnet sheet and photopolymer plates while the images are inkjet printed – all on recycled, acid-free paper. Covers are acid-free conservation board. Binding is a modified button-hole structure without sewing, constructed with PVA adhesive. Signed and numbered by the artist.

Jaye Fishel: "This book aims to blend visual representations of intersecting entities to look at ideas surrounding women, women's bodies, the experience of being a woman, and ideas about women. What happens when we take mathematical, rational methods to examine women's issues and women's bodies?"
